An Evening of Dance with Nickerson-Rossi

Witness the artistic excellence of the Nickerson-Rossi Dance as they welcome cultural leaders of the Coachella Valley to share their professional accounts with the dance company.

This evening will express the four pillars of Nickerson-Rossi Dance: professional, educational, therapeutic, and community, performed at the Annenberg Theater. Highlights include the pure athleticism and stamina of choreographic work, “Vini Vedi Vici,” a crowd favorite. It is filled with breathtaking acrobatic stunts and partnering as the dancers stretch to all stage corners.

Nickerson-Rossi brings his inspiration from the desert gardens at Sunnylands to the Annenberg Stage as his beautiful contemporary dancers interweave and unfold in an intricately designed quartet, “Don’t Let Go,” originally performed at the Annenberg Estate.

The evening will also include a glimpse into Nickerson-Rossi’s therapeutic outreach program with Desert Regional Medical Center’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. Michael Nickerson-Rossi has interviewed women who have battled breast cancer and won! He interweaves stories of trials and tribulations through the emotive choreographic work “Our Bodies.”

Additionally, there will be a special highlight performance from the pre-professional students of the Academy of Nickerson-Rossi Dance. They will perform “Sing Sing,” an homage to the pioneers of Palm Springs entertainment!

To compliment the night there will be a short segment from Palm Springs Unified School District outreach programming in partnership with Expanded Learning Opportunities!
