Mixed FeelingsSPECIAL EDITION: ARTISTS AND SCIENTISTS IN CONVERSATION Back-to-back lectures on unrelated topics (that are somehow connected). |
Mixed Feelings is a lecture series that features talks on seemingly unrelated topics that are somehow connected. Two speakers will get the opportunity to delve into their respective areas of expertise, allowing you to make connections and gain valuable insights during the Q&A session.
This year we have a special edition of Mixed Feelings where we explore how science has created opportunities for abstraction in art by pairing a contemporary artist and scientist in back-to-back twenty-minute lectures.

Mixed Feelings in Palm Springs!
Originally calling it “Mixed Taste”, Adam Lerner developed this program and made it a flagship at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, which he led for 10 years. It has been copied by institutions across the nation, widely celebrated in the field, and sometimes criticized in academia. Now at the helm of Palm Springs Art Museum, Adam is bringing the program to the desert.
Special thanks to Denver colleagues Sarah Baie and Nora Burnett Abrams.
