Artist and Curator in Dialogue
Architecture and Design Center
Join artist Ryan Preciado and Curator Robert Kett as they explore how Ryan’s encounter with little-known carpenter Manuel Sandoval prompted an effort to reconstruct Sandoval’s story and understand his experience of a key chapter in twentieth-century American architecture. Together they will discuss their work to assemble Sandoval’s archive and how it inspired Ryan’s new furniture and sculpture on view in the exhibition So Near, So Far: Ryan Preciado — Manuel Sandoval.
12:00 p.m.
