Celebrate the opening of our spring exhibitions in a museum-wide party featuring three of the participating artists: Gonzalo Lebrija, Mr. Wash, and Devin Reynolds.
Come party with us as you enjoy a special performance by LA's San Cha, guest DJ’s BAE BAE and King Woman on the main floor, and a dance party in the Elrod Sculpture Garden with DJ Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem.
The party will feature a no-host bar and nibbles.
VIP ticket holders include early access to preview the exhibitions starting at 5 p.m. and a VIP area in the Meyerman Sculpture Garden with appetizers, wine, and tequila bars.
NANCY WHANG
Known for her work with the electronic artist Juan MacLean and the American rock band LCD Soundsystem, Whang's sets have an emphasis on fun with an echo of the glory days of the 80s NYC scene—a time when disco, proto-house, postpunk, noise, electro, and Latin influences all conspired to keep things interesting.
SAN CHA
San Cha is a Los Angeles-based artist who weaves together ranchera, punk, cumbia, and boleros, and infuses them with lyrics about everything from family deception to queer identity. Known for her explosive live performances and storytelling, everything that San Cha does is multi-layered and hypnotic.
BAE BAE
BAE BAE weaves a wide range of electronic dance genres, including house, jungle, and footwork, along with R&B, dancehall, and batida, to create emotional yet danceable blends. An LA native, BAE BAE's selections uplift black diasporic music and femme voices, and are guaranteed to get you on your feet and in your feelings.
KING WOMAN
Kris Esfandiari is a New York-based Iranian songwriter, producer, and musician best known for her band King Woman which has been lauded by Pitchfork and Rolling Stone. She performs under several monikers: Dalmatian, Miserable, NGHTCRWLR, and Sugar High.
