By almost every measure, the museum has been doing better year over year since the pandemic.

Beyond our investment in constructing the Aluminaire House, an icon of modern architecture, we have been able to invest $1.65 million over the past two years into the care of our existing buildings.

ALUMINAIRE HOUSE

Our attendance is trending 13 percent higher than last year, which is significantly higher than pre-COVID. Participation in our monthly family programs is steadily increasing and approaching our current capacity.

Our new Chief Curator, Christine Vendredi, is a monumental addition to the museum and community, bringing a wealth of expertise in art, architecture, and studio glass.

Our Norman Zammitt exhibition has been been a big success, earning a full-page review in The New York Times.

We launched Q+ Art and became the first general art museum nationally to make a comprehensive commitment to LGBTQ+ art and artists.

We have many exciting programs planned for next year, including a major David Hockney exhibition, a Getty-sponsored exhibition on the influence of science and technology on California art, and a Latine film festival.
