Join us every third Sunday of the month for Family+, a fun and free event for everyone! The museum is transformed into a creative hub where artists, makers, and musicians come together to offer a variety of exciting activities and workshops for kids, teens, and families+.

Screen Printing with Blue Hill Studios

Blue Hill Studios owner Freddy Jimenez has been invited to host an interactive screen printing workshop and features limited edition and exclusive artwork for the event. To reduce waste and promote sustainability, participants are encouraged to bring their own garments, though a very limited number of garments will be available.

Keychains with bylaneyachristine

Join Laneya from bylaneyachristine and create a keychain or earrings using her signature teddy mini plushies. Participants will take home their own piece inspired by the Laneyas artistic practice. This activity requires adult support for guests under 12 years.

Palm Frond origami with Carlos Camacho

Local artist, Carlos Camacho, invites participants into a practice of transforming palm fronds from the Mexican palm tree into everyday animals that are native to our diverse desert. Utilizing the art of origami, connect your hands to the very fronds that shade us in the summer and manipulate it into the shape of some of our neighbors that live amongst us who are native to the Cahuilla land. Appreciate the land with this interactive and performative activity that is close to his practice.
