Join us for a day of talks to mark the season launch of Q+ Art with several talks on David Hockney: Perspective Should Be Reversed: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation. Artists and scholars will offer multiple perspectives on David Hockney, introducing personal accounts, exploring lessons from Art History, and reflecting on Hockney’s influences and points of departure.
Your ticket gives you access to both the full day of programming and admission to Palm Springs Art Museum.

Michael Childers in conversation with Steven Biller
Photographer Michael Childers will share photographs of David Hockney. Together with Palm Springs Life Editor, Steven Biller, the pair will offer personal accounts and insights into the life of David Hockney.

Richard Meyer
Art Historian Richard Meyer will explore the connections between David Hockney’s work and physique photography in Southern California.

Jay Lynn Gomez in conversation with Laura Gutierrez
Artist Jay Lynn Gomez, in conversation with Latinx and Queer Studies scholar Laura Gutierrez, will revisit Jay’s body of earlier works that use David Hockney's vision of Los Angeles as a point of departure, particularly in relation to Jay’s transgender identity.
