Join us every third Sunday of the month for Family+, a fun and free event for everyone! The museum is transformed into a creative hub where artists, makers, and musicians come together to offer a variety of exciting activities and workshops for kids, teens, and families+.

Month Focus: Portraiture and Photography

Spirit Portraits with Denise Silva

Artist Denise Silva will walk participants through mixed-medium abstract portrait development. Through the process, she will use elements of meditation, spirituality, and collaging.  

This workshop has three start times; 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 p.m..

Photography Workshop with Bryan Mendez 

Join us in this exciting family-friendly photography workshop where we'll dive into the captivating world of portraits! Participants will have the opportunity to use museum digital cameras to capture their own family portraits during the session. What makes it even more special? We'll turn these captured memories into personalized artworks!

Print your favorite photos and unleash your creativity by drawing and adding your unique touch, creating a one-of-a-kind blend of photography and art. It's a fun-filled experience for families to bond, explore, and create lasting memories together. 

Drop-in activity in the museum garden 

Stretching and Mindfulness with Geneva Ellis

Join us in the museum garden for group stretching and mindfulness surrounded by fresh air and art. This activity is suitable for all ages. Yoga mats will be set up on a first-come first-served basis and chairs will be available for participation. Coach Geneva will walk participants through various stretches and techniques for connecting with yourself and your surroundings.

Face Painting with Gee

Local face painter Gee Hogan will offer face painting for all ages from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

Photobooth by Partylife Photobooth

Family+ attendees can take home a photo that captures their memories for the day. Available from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. 

Food & Drinks

Taco Titan: Local food vendor who specializes in vegan Mexican food will have various yummy dishes available for purchase. 

Rutina Coffee: Specializing in artisanal Columbian coffee Rutina Coffee Cart will have drinks available for purchase.
