We are deeply saddened by the devastation and destruction caused by the ongoing fires in Los Angeles. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this crisis, including the communities, individuals, and first responders working tirelessly to address the situation.
At this time, the event is scheduled to proceed as planned. However, we are closely monitoring the situation and are in ongoing communication with our partners. Additionally, we want to emphasize our commitment to not adding undue stress or burden to our partners during this challenging time.
Please be aware that, due to the unpredictable nature of this situation, there is a possibility that the event could be postponed or canceled. We will provide updates as needed and appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this difficult period.
About Daniel Canogar
Daniel Canogar’s works are often driven by a custom-designed algorithm that gathers real-time data via the Internet. The outcome of these artworks is often hypnotic and varies across different media including generative animations on LED screens, metalworks, recycled glass mosaics, or wallpaper. Many of the artworks attempt to integrate generative art into the history of art, as they explore unexpected aesthetic influences, such as postwar Abstract Expressionism, Performance, and Op Art from the 1960s, among others.
Canogar’s work is currently on view at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He has created permanent public art installations for Nike World Headquarters (Beaverton, OR), the Sobrato Foundation (Mountain View, CA), Tampa International Airport (Tampa, FL) and the Novartis Pavilion (Basel, Switzerland), among others.
About Lia Halloran
Lia Halloran is an artist blending art and science. Her work, featured in major collections like the Guggenheim, includes Your Body Is a Space That Sees and an upcoming book with physicist Kip Thorne. Based in Los Angeles, she chairs Chapman University's Art Department.
